๐ About the Fishery
Farlows Lake is one of the UKโs best-known day-ticket carp fisheries, located close to London in Buckinghamshire. Originally established as a gravel pit, the venue has developed into a highly regarded big-carp water with a long history of producing specimen fish. The lake attracts anglers from across the country thanks to its excellent stock levels, mature surroundings, and realistic chance of landing a personal-best carp.
๐ Fish Stock
Farlows holds an impressive stock of carp including large commons, mirrors, and several fish over the magical 50lb barrier. The lake contains a healthy head of twenties and thirties, making action possible throughout the year while still offering genuine big-fish potential. Anglers may also encounter sizeable catfish, pike, perch, and silver fish across the venue.
๐ฏ Tactics & Methods
Successful tactics at Farlows often revolve around accurate baiting and finding productive gravel spots or marginal features. Solid PVA bags, snowman rigs, and boilie approaches all account for plenty of fish. During warmer conditions, floater fishing and stalking can produce exciting opportunities close to the margins, while colder months often reward anglers fishing tighter baited areas with high-attract hookbaits.
