St John’s Lake is one of the best-known day-ticket carp waters in the UK and has become a flagship venue within the Linear Fisheries complex. Covering around 18 acres, the lake is famous for its impressive stock of big carp and long history of producing memorable captures. The water features classic gravel pit characteristics including bars, plateaus, deep margins, and silty areas that reward anglers willing to locate fish and adapt their tactics throughout the seasons.

The lake contains an estimated 970 carp with a strong head of twenties and more than forty fish over 30lb. Several carp have exceeded the 40lb barrier, making St John’s a genuine big-fish venue while still offering consistent action. Alongside the carp stock, the lake also holds huge catfish exceeding 100lb, specimen pike, tench, bream, and silver fish.
