๐ About the Fishery
Brasenose One is one of the most popular carp lakes within the famous Linear Fisheries complex in Oxfordshire. Originally developed from mature gravel workings, the lake has built a strong reputation for producing hard-fighting carp in excellent condition. The water attracts anglers from across the UK thanks to its reliable action, varied features, and impressive stock of quality fish.
๐ Fish Stock
Brasenose One holds a large head of carp with plenty of doubles and twenties regularly banked throughout the season. The lake is also known for producing multiple thirty-pound fish along with several specimens pushing towards the upper-forty bracket. In addition to the carp stock, anglers can also encounter tench, bream, roach, and perch.
๐ฏ Tactics & Methods
Successful anglers on Brasenose One often target gravel bars, marginal shelves, and clear hard spots. Solid bag tactics, boilie fishing over light baited areas, and accurate marker work all produce results throughout the year. During warmer months, surface fishing and margin approaches can be especially effective when fish patrol close-in features.
